Every economy that modernizes does so through software, and every piece of software built in the next decade will run on AI. Georgia is no different. The banks, hospitals, logistics companies, and government systems that define how this country operates will all be powered by language models — and those models must speak Georgian fluently. Whoever controls the model controls the software that runs on top of it. We are building that foundation.
Today's frontier models have already hit a hard ceiling in Georgian. The publicly accessible Georgian corpus on the internet is finite — roughly two billion words — and every major lab has already scraped it. There is nothing left for them to collect. Their Georgian performance will not meaningfully improve from here because the data they would need to improve it simply does not exist online. The models will keep getting smarter in English, in Chinese, in French. In Georgian, they have already peaked.
At the same time, the economics of AI are shifting decisively in our favor. The era of closed, trillion-parameter models as the only path to intelligence is ending. Open-weight models have proven that state-of-the-art performance can be released openly and built upon. Distillation techniques are producing smaller models that match or exceed the performance of models ten times their size from even months ago. Parameter counts are dropping and continued pre-training on a specific language is now an economically viable path for a company at our scale and for the targets we are pursuing.
We are not training models from the ground up. We are taking the best open-weight models available and fine-tuning them on data that companies like OpenAI, Google, and Anthropic have no practical way of reaching — digitized books, newspapers, journals, and partner organizations, none of which exist on the open internet. This is our moat. The corpus we are building cannot be replicated by scraping, and the market — every Georgian business that will need AI in its language — is about to arrive.
AI will reshape Georgia's economy. The only question is who builds the intelligence it runs on. We intend for that to be us.
